  Went to get documents notarized. The lady who was supposed to notarize was very unwilling to notarize and was trying to find reasons to avoid. At the time, she said as per WA state notary rules, the documents that I carried cannot be notarized. Finally, I got the documents notarized at UPS store and some through a mobile notary. It clearly shows that how much service they are willing to offer to customers.

  I waited over 30 minutes to find out that there is a service fee just to have a bank account where at BECU I dont have to pay a single cent to have one. It would take me months to save the $1,500 they mentioned to avoid the $12/m fee. I cant afford that. I dont understand why students dont get charged but guys like me do. The people at the front desk didnt even mention to anyone that i was waiting. They did mention to themselves "he was waiting 20 minutes" This wasted an hour of my time.

  I don't bank at Chase, but I stopped by to do a bit of banking for a family member. Chase's rules are surprisingly strict, but the tellers here were friendly and knowledgeable enough to help me get everything taken care of while minimizing the trouble I had to go through.

  This former Washington Mutual branch is now owned by Chase. While this location still has some of the same friendly, capable staff from before the merger, the ridiculous and unfriendly policies of the new parent company make banking here aggravating and expensive. Deposits are held hostage for several "business days," making your money unavailable and your account at risk of being overdrawn since no such wait applies to scheduled withdrawals. Transfers online from a Chase account to another Chase account from the same customer to the same bank (say from savings to checking) are subject to an overnight hold, making it nearly impossible to cover an unexpected overdraft by transferring your own money to cover it. After over 15 years with Wamu I will miss all it was and stood for, and may the Rodeo Grandmas Rest in Peace as their fans move on.
